Carey has also associated her with major oppressive issues such as September 11 attacks at World Trade Center and has also spread awareness against Gaddafi, a Libyan dictator. She has also done a lot of work and has spent huge sums on cancer patients and other disasters such as Katrina.
Recently Mariah Carey was honored for lifetime achievement and philanthropy, it would not be wrong to call her a Diva Philanthropist, which should be a well-earned title for her. Carey received this award at Noble Gift Gala that was held in London, and Carey proudly went to London to accept the award. Jermain Jackson, a famous singer, and Eva Longoria, an amazing actress presented the Noble Gift Humanitarian Award to Carey. Mariah Carey and her fans would be happy to finally see her getting recognition for the uncountable efforts she is doing to save disadvantaged children and she has made some huge progress in achieving success and good results.
The Gala was a very high-profile event and many famous faces were spotted. Leona Lewis gave a wonderful performance in front of the audience and entertained everyone with her melodious voice. The Gala did make a lot of money with sponsorships and promotions, and all the earnings went to Longoria’s charity that works for the Latino community. Carey was obviously honored with the award and she felt great. She showed that with her humble attitude on the stage while accepting it and she even tweeted later that night that she appreciated Longoria’s efforts.
